Happy Harbor Restaurant: Your Destination for Delicious American Cuisine in Deale, MD

Came to this little locals spot for several meals during our stay in Deale including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My husband and I enjoyed everything we ate. We really enjoyed sitting on the back boardwalk area. The ducks, Kenny and Dolly that visit daily were too cute. The inside of the restaurant had a very chill vibe with everyone watching football and enjoying the bar. My husband had fish and chips twice and I enjoyed my salad and wrap. The bread pudding was our favorite dessert. Our serevers were all nice. We definitely enjoyed our experience here and would come back!

Seriously a great breakfast stop. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to service. The food was extremely fresh, hot and fantastic. It's a cute little spot for a breakfast date on the water. $40 with tip is definitely worth the trip.

We stopped by on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We ordered a sampler, chili, the oyster basket as well as an avocado dish. Service was good. Nice way to enjoy a sunny November day.

Nice food, good service and the atmosphere it’s cool. However, my food took at least 30 minutes after my order.

We had salads (different ones) and a drink (also different) the food was good and so we're the drinks. Service was excellent! I'll definitely be back!

On New Year's Day 2023 American Legion Riders from Post 82, La Plata, MD took our annual "Polar Bear Ride". This year's ride took us to Deale and Happy Harbor Restaurant. We had called ahead with an estimate of 15 for a late lunch but unseasonably warm, dry weather brought a stronger than usual turnout of 22 people. The staff at HHR didn't bat an eye but led us to our tables on the porch. The two ladies who served is were super friendly and amazingly efficient. It didn't faze them that we asked to pay seperate checks, seemed like just another day for them. They got our drinks out to us quickly. I was particularly impressed that they remembered who ordered what made sure we all got the correct drink. Just like the drinks, our food orders went in and came out quickly and each to right person. Given that there were other customers in the restaurant and that there were only two cooks in the kitchen, I'd say the food came out exceptionally fast. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Thanks to the staff at Happy Harbor and God's blessing of great weather, our group had a fantastic day riding and fellowshipping. I will definitely be back and will bring friends to share the experience.

The food was tasty, just not 5 ⭐s, service was excellent, maybe a touch slow, but the wait staff was attentive and friendly. I had the crab cake dinner with 2 sides hush puppies and seaweed salad. My choice is 2 crab cake (it s market price, this time prices were 1 cake = 20$, 2 cake = 28$) We finished off the meal with the peanut butter pie, it was excellent! I can't even begin to say how happy I am to see a clearly labeled vegan option that allows us to order without asking the server a million questions *Please note the cheese options are not vegan, but highly recommended adding some avocado instead of cheese If you care about a shared fryer you might wants to stick with the potato chips (we switched out our sides to tater tots) or go with a salad/veggie. The service was great and can't beat being on the water!
